The 20-Minute Pizza

INSTRUCTIONS

  • ½ cup lukewarm water (about 110ºF)

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 tsp quick-rise active dry yeast

  • ½ tsp sugar

  • 1 ¼ cups unbleached whole wheat flour

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp onion powder

  • ½ cup pizza or tomato sauce

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • your favorite pizza toppings


INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the water, oil, yeast, and sugar. Stir to dissolve the yeast.

  3. Add the flour, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly.

  4. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes.

  5. Coat a 12-inch pizza pan with nonstick spray. Place the dough on it and shape into an 11-inch round.

  6. Spread on the sauce, leaving a border. Sprinkle with the cheese and additional toppings.

  7. Bake for about 12 minutes.
