On Friday, July 14, 2023, Lending Hearts was provided the extremely memorable experience of having its very own baseball clinic with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pirates Charities organized this great event that included five stations that allowed the kids to rotate, play and have fun. Pirates coaches provided teaching and coaching at each station. Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher, David Bednar, joined the fun. He had just returned from being at the All Stars. Vince Velasquez, Pirate Parrot and three of the cast members from The Sandlot also joined the fun.
