2026 Tropical 5K Classic

The annual Tropical 5K Classic took place on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

It was another awesomely fun and funny event created by the Tropical 5K Classic nonprofit organization in support of Lending Hearts and the Dr Stanley M Marks Blood Cancer Research Fund.

We are grateful for everyone’s support of this race including the tireless efforts of the event organizers, our emcee, WPXI-TV reporter and dear friend of Lending Hearts, Ms Cara Sapida, the 41 volunteers from Duquesne University, the sponsors and runners.

Thank you for making this a special and memorable event each year.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to our Tropical Prince, Camden, Tropical Princess, Eva, and their amazing families! Thank you for being a very special part of this event. Thank you for opening your hearts and sharing your family’s journeys. It was an honor and privilege to have your family’s with us.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year and invite everyone to help us share and be part of the Tropical 5K Classic!
